1976 BMW R75/6 Cafe Racer

1974 Euro Engine, 1976 Frame/Trans. A work in progress that will hopefully be done by summer 2004.

Mods as follows, R90S Top End, Dellortos, Dicks Cycle West 2 into 1 race exhaust (it sets off car alarms). This set up with the 37:11 rear end, is noticably faster than my stock R90/6:

4/6/04: Installed Frame Braces and chopped front and rear fenders, also changed final drive to 32:9. There is a signifgant loss of top end speed with the 32:9 (top out at 90mph !?), I am not sure how I like it yet:

Running to lean = paint burned off headers. The exhaust will get ceramic coated next winter -9/04- ceramic coating costs 1.5x what I paid for the exhaust, so that is not going to happen, need to find a higher temp exhaust paint:

4/2/04: The mechanical issues have been sorted out, pretty much everything left to do is cosmetic:

Dick's Cycle West 2 into 1 Exhausty, R90S Top End & Dellortos (I wish I had poweder coated the top end before installation, it will be pulled next winter and powder coated -9/04- After having the cylinders on my 78 R100S powder coated, I would not recommend having an air-cooled boxer powder coated, just paint using high temp engine paint):

Dual Disc Front End (donated by my 1980 R100T), Lester Mags, short fork boots & CC products fork brace:

Added a San Jose Billet Triple Clamp:

It was necessry to trim almost 3/4" off the headlight ears in order to fit the new Triple Clamp:

I had the triple clamp, headlight ears and headlight bucket powdercoated:

Triple Clamp on Bike:

Here are a some fenders that I chopped down using a Dremel Drill:
